2019/07/04 - Moto2™ WM 2019: Motorrad GP Deutschland / Preview

#GermanGP: With nice memories to German’s rollercoaster

In the last race before the summer break, Dominique Aegerter wants to keep momentum from Assen last weekend.

Inspired by ninth place with the still young MV Agusta project a few days ago in the Netherlands, Dominique Aegerter comes to the Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland at the curvy and hilly Sachsenring with increased expectations. The unique track layout suits the 28-year-old Swiss Moto2™ star. Round nine of the season also marks the end of the first half of the championship.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (MV Agusta Idealavoro Forward, MV Agusta F2):

"I'm looking forward to be back at the Sachsenring although, the track is a bit strange. But I can count this race amongst to my home rounds. Every year many Swiss fans come to support me enthusiastically here. That's an additional incentive. The atmosphere here is also unique. But from another point of view, this race is a very special occasion for me. With my first Grand Prix victory in 2014, I naturally have very nice memories from this circuit. Last Sunday at Assen, we finished in the top ten for the first time which, of course, was our best result this season so far. We had a good start into the weekend and finally we just missed the jump into Q2 narrowly. So, that's our goal for this special race either. A starting position more towards the front would make things much easier for us in the race at this tricky track. As I said, I'm happy to be here and I’ll put all in and always at full throttle to be able to start the summer break deservedly."
