#GermanGP: BIGGEST EVENT FOR DOMINIQUE AEGERTER AND HIS KIEFER RACING TEAM

SACHSENRING: BIGGEST EVENT FOR DOMINIQUE AEGERTER AND HIS KIEFER RACING TEAM

This weekend’s round nine of the series is perhaps the biggest event of the year for the German based Moto2™ outfit.

The Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland at the legendary Sachsenring close to Hohenstein-Ernstthal unites a number of interesting facts. With the race weekend in Saxony, the championship already reaches its halfway point before on Sunday after the race, teams and riders head into a well-earned four-weeks summer break.

Dominique Aegerter heads with nice memories into the upcoming weekend. The 26-year-old from Switzerland celebrated his first victory in Grand Prix racing back in 2014, riding a Suter MMX2 machine like this year too. Aegerter also likes to call the German round as his home race which is why he will surprise the many fans from Switzerland coming to the Sachsenring as well as all other of thousands passionate spectators in general.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing, Suter MMX2), Championship position 8th (50 points):

"Of course, I head with nice memories into this weekend. I know how to win here because in 2014, I won the Moto2 race aboard a Suter bike and this year I’m racing again with the same machine. So, requirements are promising. In addition, the weekend at the Sachsenring offers always a lot of fun. An incredible number of spectators come to see the show every year which creates a lively atmosphere. For me, this Grand Prix always has been like a home race but this year it’s even more important as it’s the home race for my Kiefer Racing team. As in previous years, I’ve thought about something for my fans to surprise them. Apart of the unstable weather, which is forecasted for this weekend, I’m excited about the new tarmac here. So, let’s see how the grip level is now. But I’ve heard just good things about so far. During the short break after the Assen race, I recovered well and I also did some training with my Supermoto bike. I’m ready and top motivated for the last race weekend before the summer break."
