#BritishGP: DOMINIQUE AEGERTER DRÄNGT SICH INS RAMPENLICHT

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing, Suter MMX2), FP1: P1 - 2´08.191 (18/18) / FP2: P5 - 2´08.139 (17/18):

#BritishGP: DOMINIQUE AEGERTER STORMS INTO THE LIMELIGHT

DOMINIQUE AEGERTER STORMS INTO THE LIMELIGHT

The Swiss rider performed impressively on the opening day in Silverstone.

The championship’s round twelve got underway under best conditions. The beautiful weather came even surprisingly for Kiefer Racing’s young Scottish rider Tarran Mackenzie. On the other hand, however, Dominique Aegerter gave the German Moto2™ team something more to cheer.

The 26-year-old rider from the canton of Bern began the race weekend in England with the fastest lap time during this morning’s FP1 though, Aegerter was able to confirm this performance also in the afternoon, he dropped down to fourth position in the combined time sheets.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing, Suter MMX2), FP1: P1 - 2´08.191 (18/18) / FP2: P5 - 2´08.139 (17/18):

"Of course, it is very gratifying and it gives surely a boost to start the weekend with fastest lap time in FP1 and to wrap up day one in fourth overall. The second session, however, was actually more decisive. Everything went well, even if I could improve my lap time by a margin. But over the course of FP2, we did twice a race simulation, working with both tyre options for this weekend, as well as making minor changes to the bike. In doing so, we were able to gather very interesting information. But now, we have to improve on this level tomorrow, to try and improve ourselves together with Suter and again to fight for similarly strong positions. After today’s strong start into the weekend, the logical goal is now to qualify for the first two rows and then on Sunday, to conclude the weekend in the same way as we have started today."
