#BritishGP: ANOTHER TOP TEN AFTER AN UP AND DOWN WEEKEND

ANOTHER TOP TEN AFTER AN UP AND DOWN WEEKEND

A tenth place, however, did not meet expectations for the Silverstone race.

Race day at the 2017 edition of the British Grand Prix was marked by gorgeous summer weather with temperatures even a few degrees warmer than on the previous days. So, this was why teams and riders found best conditions to tackle the twelfth points haul of the season.

After Dominique Aegerter’s great results in all practice sessions, including a second row start from sixth as its climax, he and his Kiefer Racing team were counting with a similar outcome for Sunday’s race. Thanks to a good start, the 26-year-old Swiss rider was able to keep up with the front group for a while. Ultimately, however, Aegerter was not able to get through in the second group during the final stages, which fought for fifth place in the end.

The championship will continue in two weeks with the Gran Premio di San Marino at the Italian Misano World Circuit.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing, Suter MMX2), 10th (Championship position 9th, 63 points):

"Until the race we had a strong weekend here in Silverstone. After our great qualifying, we expect more for today of course. In the race, however, we can’t exploit our full potential yet. Coming home in tenth place, we lost just eleven seconds on the race winners time but overall, we are still a bit too far off. Now, we will analyse what has happened today why we were not as constant as yesterday. The conditions were perhaps a bit hotter than during qualifying but in any case, we must continue working and fine tuning on the whole package."
