#DA77: PROMISING OPENING DAY IN ARGENTINA

PROMISING OPENING DAY IN ARGENTINA

For Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter, this weekend’s round two of the series got started with a thoroughly enjoyable day one of practice at the Rio Hondo circuit.

In contrast to the previous days with hot weather, teams and riders were greeted by significantly cooler temperatures on Friday morning whilst the forecasted rain did not arrive to northwest of the South American country until this afternoon's second session. In dry conditions, however, Dominique Aegerter was able to put in strong performances as eleventh fastest after FP1 and later with P10 in the second run of the day. A clear indication that Kiefer Racing is moving forward.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), FP1: P11 - 1´45.183 (20/21) / FP2: P10 - 1´45.366 (8/13):

"We certainly got a better start to the weekend today than last time in Qatar. This track suites my riding a lot more though the grip conditions were also in the afternoon far from perfect. In addition, we had bad luck with the weather during FP2 once again. Sudden rain has cost us valuable time to try and test both tyre options Dunlop has brought for this race. But otherwise, the situation overall looks a lot more pleasing as we are closer to the top as well as the position is significantly better. It is also an important fact that the feeling with the bike is getting better and better with every exit. Nevertheless, we are still a bit far off from where we really want to be. But I’m actually very confident for the remaining weekend, although I’m well aware that we have a difficult weekend ahead of us because of the changeable weather situation. We are still missing kilometres to quickly adjust to changing conditions. But we do a good job overall that will bring us forward quickly."
