#CzechGP: "FIRST DAY OK, BUT THERE HAVE MORE TO COME"

#DA77: "FIRST DAY OK, BUT THERE HAVE MORE TO COME"

Coming from the famous endurance race in Suzuka last week, the 27-year-old experienced rider didn’t have any problems to swing his legs aboard the Moto2 machine again.

The continuing heat has a firm grip on most of Europe. The first day of practice in the hilly surroundings of Brno was therefore characterized by appropriate conditions. For the well-trained Dominique Aegerter, however, these circumstances required, if at all, only slightly more efforts, as the 27-year-old from Switzerland had to deal with similar weather one week ago at the famous endurance race in Suzuka. Anyway, Aegerter started with a promising performance as 15th fastest after FP1. Despite an improvement in terms of lap times in the afternoon, the KTM rider closed such a hot Friday in Brno in 25th place.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), FP1: P15 - 2´05.105 (10/14) / FP2: P25 - 2´04.375 (16/16):

"We still suffer some difficulties getting into the corner in order to have more drive through. In hotter conditions in the afternoon, we were able to improve a bit in terms of our lap time, but we dropped down far the order in the combined practice times. These hot temperatures don’t really matter to me because I’m pretty used to it from Suzuka last weekend. Apart from that, to jump back on the Moto2 bike was no big task as I succeeded in the blink of an eye. Just the seating position is a bit different, but the feeling was back again after a few laps and therefore I was able get into the usual rhythm quickly. Nevertheless, we have to improve significantly and get a step closer to the top. That is clearly the target for tomorrow, because we want to start well inside the top 15 on Sunday."
