#JapaneseGP: TURNAROUND FOR RACE DAY IN SIGHT

#DA77: TURNAROUND FOR RACE DAY IN SIGHT

Although Dominique Aegerter has made a significant improvement in terms of lap times in the very last minute of qualifying, the Swiss rider has to tackle the fourth last race of the season from the sixth row.

After changeable conditions during Friday’s FP1 and FP2, nice weather ensured good track conditions on day two of practice in Motegi. But the useless sessions on Friday left behind double negative impressions for Dominique Aegerter and Kiefer Racing. This morning’s third free practice was nowhere near enough to head better prepared into the all-important qualifying.

Attention: Due to the time difference of seven hours between Central Europe and Japan, this Sunday it is two hours earlier to get up than two weeks ago for the Thailand grand prix. The race will start at 05:20 am CET.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), Grid position 17th - 1´51.769 (17/17):

"Unfortunately, we could not take this step which we had hoped for today. One second off pole time isn’t so much but with our starting position in P17, the outcome was again quite less. So, we’ll take a close look on the data and try to evaluate it so that we can hopefully try something during tomorrow’s warm up. The conditions for race day should be good so, we should be able to build on today’s base. However, it has proven once again how difficult it is to almost lose two sessions during a race weekend. In our case, with just a one rider line-up, these circumstances have had a double negative effect in order to quickly take the right steps forward. So, I hope that we will take the right path tomorrow to finally getting towards the points again. That would be enormously important."
