#DA77: COMEBACK IN THE POINTS

After 22 demanding laps at the Twin Ring in Motegi, Dominique Aegerter came home in 14th position though, he was classified in P13 after race winner Fabio Quartararo got disqualified for technical regulations infringement.

Magnificent sunshine with bright autumn colours on race day in Japan. In perfect conditions, therefore, Dominique Aegerter was able to conclude a losing streak with no top 15 results since the Misano race. During the race at the demanding Japanese circuit, the Swiss rider delivered a solid performance, collecting three valuable points for him and the entire Kiefer Racing team. With this important result in the baggage, the German Moto2™ outfit heads straight to the next race in Australia.

The Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island in the south of Down Under will take place next week.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), 13th - Championship position 17th (29 points):

"Leaving the line in P17 and to finish in 14th place, means that we have scored some points at least. That was very important to us at all. However, we also benefited a bit from the race. But to cross the line 20 seconds off the race winners time means that we lost one second per lap. So, this shows that we’re still struggling to tie the package that I need to be to attack. I have to fight with the bike in order to ride it in the way I want to do. Therefore, I hope that we will get somehow more information, so that we finally can get a step closer to the front. Apparently, we got stuck between 15th and 20th position instead of returning to our old strength."
