#MalaysianGP: AIMING TO KEEP MOMENTUM IN HOT SEPANG

#DA77: AIMING TO KEEP MOMENTUM IN HOT SEPANG

At the second last race of the season in Malaysia, Dominique Aegerter and his Kiefer Racing team awaits a very emotional weekend because at the team’s arrival in Sepang, sad memories of last year appeared freshly in their mind.

The shock of the sudden death of Stefan Kiefer in the night from October 26th to 27th ahead of last year’s Malaysia Grand Prix is still deep felt. For the team members at their return to Malaysia earlier this week, it’s not easy to digest the terrible memories. Dominique Aegerter’s great sixth place in last Sunday’s race at Phillip Island came therefore in the right time. Aegerter and the German team now want to continue at this level, thinking of the unforgettable team manager at any time.

The Malaysia Grand Prix marks the conclusion of the annual Asia/Australia tour. For the European fans, however, it is therefore important to set an early wake-up call this weekend again.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), Championship position 17th (40 points):

"After the enjoyable weekend with our strong race in Australia, we’re of course very expectantly for this grand prix. The first top result this year gave us an enormous boost. After our arrival in Malaysia, I had a good recovery for two, three days. The changes from the cold weather in Australia to the Malaysian heat means difficulties for all of us but I feel ready to tackle the upcoming challenges. For various reasons, I haven’t been racing in Sepang for the past three years so, it might take a few laps to get back to this long and wide track. In general, however, I like this circuit. It’s nice to ride here and I also have a lot of fans in this part of the world. However, with the onset of the rainy season, we need to be prepared for all kinds of track conditions."
