Despite some progress during the race, Dominique Aegerter missed the points on Sunday.

At the time of round twelve at the traditional Silverstone circuit, air temperature reached values with more than 30 degrees which is actually very unusual for Middle England. The high temperatures were also the reason why Dominique Aegerter couldn’t find the right feeling with his MV Agusta Moto2 bike despite general improvements throughout the weekend. However, the 28-year-old Swiss could make up two places compared to his starting position and he finally finished 18th.

"I’m not completely satisfied with the outcome of the weekend. We managed to keep a good pace until the end, and I felt very comfortable on the track with the new asphalt. The bike was also good, but unfortunately, we couldn't improve it in the way we would have liked it to do for the race. With the high temperatures I had some problems this afternoon. Above all, these problems occurred on braking and during overtaking. This weekend we certainly took a step forward, but in any case, we would have liked to take some points with us from this race. In view of the next race at Misano we would have liked to have shown our true potential. We’ll now work on these areas during the break to be prepared in the best possible way for Misano."
