DOMINIQUE AEGERTER STORMS TO FANTASTIC THIRD ON THE GRID

For the second time this season, the Swiss rider conquered a front row start.

In marvellous summer weather on day two of action in Misano, the athomsphere at the «Holiday» Grand Prix close to Italy’s Adriatic coastline gets to simmer, even if local hero and superstar Valentino Rossi is to be missed. But at the end of the day, all team members in Kiefer Racing were shining like the bright sun.

The reason for this was Dominique Aegerter’s impressive display which found with third place after qualifying a provisional peak. The 26-year-old rider from the canton of Bern and his Suter MMX2 showed up at the tight and twisty Misano track in an outstanding performance. Therefore, Aegerter and his team Kiefer Racing expect a lot for Sunday’s round 13 of the season.

The race is set to get underway as usual at 2:00 pm this Sunday.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing, Suter MMX2), Gird position 3rd – 1´37.723 (17/22):

"I’m not only happy about this third position, but also about the fact that we had a very strong weekend so far. In every practice, we were riding in the top five and this afternoon we made it into the front row. That’s really great. Suter and my Kiefer Racing team have already done a great job before we came to Misano, and this weekend we have been perfectly able to continue in the right direction in order to find these two, three tenth of a second for qualifying. By the way, I did my lap times without a slipstream and also very constant. Therefore, our pace is really strong. But for tomorrow’s race, we must find these two clicks too in order to be competitive throughout the entire distance. Hopefully the weather will remain stable and also many fans from Switzerland are here to support me and I would like to give them something to cheer. So, the top five are definitely our goal for the race because I absolutely want to do this tomorrow."
