A bright spot on Saturday at the last event in Assen gave Dominique Aegerter a boost of motivation. He wants to start at that level right from the get-go this weekend and continue to improve his performance.

The curvy track at Balaton Park Circuit, located about 100 km southwest of Budapest, made its international debut last July when the WorldSBK series made a first visit there. Dominique Aegerter got his first taste of the challenging track's layout aboard a Superbike during that event.

On Friday, therefore, he will first need to adapt to the layout again in order to further solidify his position upon his return to the highly competitive Supersport World Championship. Since finishing fifth in the first Assen race, this result has set a new benchmark for the 35-year-old Swiss rider and his Kawasaki WorldSSP Team.

All races of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship and its supporting series, such as Supersport, will be broadcast live in HD and free of charge in German-speaking countries on the Austrian streaming platform «ServusTV On». In its home market of Austria, the Superbike World Championship will continue to be broadcast on linear television on ServusTV.

«Round four of the championship takes us to Lake Balaton in Hungary. Last year, we raced at Balaton Park Circuit for the very first time. The track is very technical due to its many tight chicanes. Compared to the Superbike I rode there a year ago, it will certainly be a bit different figuring out how to set fast lap times at Balaton Park aboard my Supersport Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636. Despite that, I am glad we did not have a long break after Assen. Last weekend, I took part in a motocross club race together with a few friends, which was not only fun but also good training.»

«The weather is finally turning nice in Switzerland, and temperatures are rising. That means I can spend a lot of time training outdoors as cycling for example. I also took advantage of the good conditions to spend a day with my training Supersport machine at a small racetrack — which, by the way, is the only one in Switzerland. For Hungary, the goal is to keep improving, be more consistent, get a better feeling for the bike, and to find a better Setup for the races. If everything goes smoothly and the weather cooperates — hopefully — we want to make it into the top ten, ideally aiming for positions close to fifth place. I will give it my all to make that happen.»
