Following his recent disappointment in Hungary, Dominique Aegerter has been doing a lot of mental training to ensure that this weekend in Most marks a turning point in his hit-or-miss season so far.

The Autodrom Most was only added to the FIM Superbike World Championship's calendar in 2021, and after being scheduled in the sweltering heat of midsummer for three years, it was moved up to May last year. The organizers didn't exactly have a lucky streak with that decision, as the weather turned out to be very rainy and bitterly cold. Hopefully, that won't happen again this weekend in the northwest of the Czech Republic.

Dominique Aegerter already got to know the twisty track at the Autodrom back in 2012 and 2022 aboard a Supersport bike. However, that was quite a while ago. Riding the Kawasaki for Italian Manuel Puccetti's team for the first time there, it will take him a few laps on Friday morning to get used to the new situation.

Due to the scheduling conflict with the Grand Prix in Barcelona, there are changes to the usual weekend schedule.

«I'm perfectly prepared for Most. I've done a lot of physical and mental training to be in top shape for round five of the season. I'm going into the weekend with the goal of riding as freely and relaxed as possible and having fun with the bike. Besides that, I want to work well with the team to improve everyone's work, enhance communication, and get a better feel for the bike. I think it's also important to develop a better understanding of one another. If we get those things right, the rest will follow by itself. First and foremost, we have to focus on ourselves. Most is an old-school track. The first chicane is a bit weird, but I really like the rest of the lap. I hope the weather doesn't get too bad, because rain is forecast for the whole week in Switzerland.»
