For Dominique Aegerter, Sunday's second race saw his progress come to an end after making up eight positions. He couldn't manage more than twelfth place and four points.
Even on race Sunday, temperatures in North Bohemia failed to climb above a mere 16 degrees. In addition, cold winds made conditions anything but inviting for motorcycle racing.
What applied to all participants was no different for Dominique Aegerter this weekend. The 35-year-old Swiss rider battled against the elements and the circumstances, returning to the fiercely competitive Supersport World Championship with a machine that isn't making it easy for him to master the transition quickly. The ambitious athlete certainly doesn't lack commitment, but from 20th on the grid, the path through the field is very narrow, especially as the class is so evenly matched.
The next round takes place in a two weeks' time, when the world's elite from the production-based championship meet again at Spain's MotorLand Aragón circuit.

Grid position 20 / Race 2: P12
«A cold Most weekend is done; we finished the weekend in the points in Race 2. Of course, it wasn't easy to make our way up from P20 on the grid though. We worked very hard again to understand the bike better, which we managed to do a bit. But we still need more Kilometers with it and also need to figure out what suits me better. We made a step forward compared to yesterday; however, we need to see where we can improve further. The most important thing is to start closer to the front on Friday, which also applies to the Superpole, so that we are further up the grid. This weekend has shown where we need to focus our efforts. Aragón is coming up in two weeks, and after that round, we have a test where we can try to modify the bike more significantly, as there isn't enough time for that during a race weekend. I definitely gave my best, but it wasn't enough. We never give up and will work even harder. Many thanks to everyone for the support and keep following us in the Kawasaki World Supersport Team.»
