Dominique Aegerter and his Kawasaki WorldSSP team haven't been resting during the break following the last race weekend in Most, Czech Republic, as they look to get up to speed more quickly within the tight schedule of a race weekend.

The Spanish race track MotorLand Aragón, located about 2.5 hours' drive south-west of Barcelona, has quickly established itself in the calendars of the most important international racing series since its completion back in 2010. The FIM Superbike World Championship and its support classes look forward to visiting every year, not far from the town of Alcañiz, which has a population of 16,000.

Dominique Aegerter has known the 5-kilometre circuit since the early years of his international career. The 35-year-old from Bern has struggled so far with the Kawasaki Supersport bike to get among the frontrunners on the timesheets as early as Friday morning, in order to be in a better position going into Superpole in the afternoon on the same day. That is the main focus for the sixth event of the season this weekend.

Due to the scheduling conflict with the Italian Grand Prix, there are changes to the usual weekend schedule, just as there were in Most.

All races of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship and its support series, such as Supersport, will be broadcast live in HD and free of charge in German-speaking countries on the Austrian streaming platform «ServusTV On». In its home market of Austria, the Superbike World Championship will continue to be aired on linear television on ServusTV.

«Aragón provides great fun with its many elevation changes throughout a lap and, of course, because of the steep "Corkscrew" at the highest point of the track. There are also many blind corners that you cut while braking on the inner banking. Overall, I like this circuit and I'm ready and well-prepared for this weekend. Since the last race weekend in Most, we've been working hard to improve in several areas. We've put in a lot of effort as a team; me, our technicians, and the bosses too. So, I hope we can start on Friday with a better feeling straight away and that I'll be faster with the bike, which is the most important thing, because so far, we've often started far off the pace, making a good Superpole difficult. With only one practice session, however, it's not easy to manage that well. Nevertheless, the goal is to finish at least in the top ten to build on that, even if that's not where we want to be. But we need to regain both a base and some confidence. The category is extremely competitive, and all the riders are performing at a high level, so the gaps are very small. I think if we can start the weekend like that, we'll get closer to the front again. We're going through tough times at the moment, but we never give up and we'll fight our way through. I'm looking forward to the Aragón weekend and then to a two-day test on Monday and Tuesday, where we'll mainly be working with the new tyres being introduced to this championship next year.»
