Dominique Aegerter and his Kawasaki WorldSSP Team are facing an important meeting this weekend at Donington before the series heads into its long summer break.

Round eight of the current Supersport World Championship takes teams and riders to the historic Donington Park Circuit in central England. Dominique Aegerter knows this beautiful racetrack, located not far from Nottingham Forest, very well.

Since the last race in Misano, Italy, there has been a three-weekend break without any racing. However, Aegerter’s Kawasaki WorldSSP Team was able to organize a test end of June at the Cremona Circuit, which proved to be very productive despite extremely hot conditions. Aegerter and his technical crew were able to make some progress with the overall package, which should lead to an improvement in performance at Donington.

All races of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship and its supporting series, such as Supersport, will be broadcast live in HD and free of charge in German-speaking countries on the Austrian streaming platform «ServusTV On». In its home market of Austria, the Superbike World Championship will continue to be broadcast on linear television on ServusTV.

«I’m very familiar with Donington from nearly every class I’ve raced throughout my career. I really like the track’s layout. Its old-school design makes it particularly appealing, as it’s beautifully placed into the landscape there, featuring several elevation changes as well as a good mix of really fast corners and slow sections. I’m hoping for good weather, however, since we all know what the weather is like in England. Our race weekend at Donington is always very well attended, and true racing fans create a unique atmosphere. Aside from that, and this is the most important thing, we spent two days of testing at the Cremona Circuit two weeks ago, where it was incredibly hot. However, we identified some areas for improvements and hope to being able to implement them this weekend to achieve better results. Our first goal is to make it into the top ten in Superpole and to finish there in the races on Saturday and Sunday as well.»
